As a general reference:
Below approximately 5 ng/mL: typically prior to ovulation
Approximately 5–10 ng/mL: commonly associated with the ovulation period
15 ng/mL and above: commonly used when planning breeding after ovulation
Levels in the 20s: frequently seen during an ideal post-ovulation breeding window
Individual females can vary, so repeated testing and interpretation of the overall progesterone trend are important.
