For small to medium breeds we suggest a maximum between 8-10 puppies. Medium to large we suggest a maximum between 6-8 puppies. 

The amount of puppies is widely subject to the situation. If crowding occurs a second pet brooder 90 will be needed. It is considered a good practice to always have two ready incase you need to isolate puppies who may get sick along the way, or in many cases to reduce the overcrowding from an unexpected larger litter. 

The humidity sensor can take upto 30 minutes before readings have sensed enough data to begin activating the pet brooder 90 internal humidifer. 

After 30 minutes the humidifier still has not turned on?

This can be eviromental, meaning if the ambient air in the vecinity of the icu is equal to or greater than the highest desired value offered by the unit (60%) then the humidifer will not activiate. 

The environmental humidity affect the units humidity, as well as the amount of humidity created inside the unit by the puppies body heat. The maximum humidity is 60%, if that percentage has been reached due to high humidity environment then the humidity pump will not kick on.

Please Note: This incubator is not designed to "cool" it is not an air conditioner. It is designed to heat and mainly used for newborn animals who cannot regulate their own body temperature.
